For me the group works in MBA were the most beneficial. I truly learnt a lot by doing projects in groups.

Mid-winter

… and I have completed two months living in Finland … now in April we are around -3 to +3 Celsius degrees, Finnish people define it as “warm“,  I guess itīs different perceptions between cultures.

This month AIESEC and The Martti Ahtisaari Institute organized a seminar called “Doing business abroad“ and they invited me to participate and present doing business in Mexico. Two more students, one from India and another from China, and 3 companies also presented. There were around 120 people attending the seminar, including students and companies from all over the world. My presentation lasted 10 minutes, at the beginning I was very nervous, but after a while I felt more comfortable.

It was nice to receive the invitation but also challenging for me. It was the first time I presented in English for a big, multicultural group of people. At the end I liked and enjoyed the opportunity to present my country, challenge myself, meet new people, make connections and it was very rewarding to receive compliments from my bosses. This is one of the unexpected things that might happen when you go abroad, somehow you get a task that challenges you and afterwards you realize you have improved your skills. You develop things that you canīt learn by book at school.

One good thing about working at the University has been the opportunity to meet some exchange students. There are quite a few foreigners studying here, honestly I didnīt expect so many foreigners in this region but I have met people from all over the world, learning about cultures and different fields.
