It is one of the fastest growing cities in Finland and an important center of research and higher education. Oulu is also an internationally known center of high technology industry with a great number of international companies which makes it a wonderful place to study business in northern Finland and Europe.

Oulu is a lively university city with approximately 17 000 students enrolled the University of Oulu alone. Students in Oulu Business School form an active student association (i.e. guild) called Finanssi ry. Finanssi organises numerous events and helps students to get acquainted with other business students and local companies.

Oulu is an innovative technology city and a modern growth centre that offers something for everyone. There are plenty of opportunities relating to both work and study, as well as for relaxation and fun.

The cultural life in Oulu offers great leisure activities to its students. Music events, for instance, range from classical music to rock festivals. As members of the Student Union students can get discounts at number of locations including stores, restaurants, movie theatres, hair salons and theatres.
