Business executive Pertti Huuskonen to join Oulu Business School faculty

Pertti Huuskonen, the long-term CEO of Technopolis Plc, joined the faculty of Oulu Business School at the beginning of November. Huuskonen will participate in teaching in a variety of modules as well as provide a corporate perspective to the strategic development of Oulu Business School's activities.

"Pertti Huuskonen's extensive international management experience and solid business expertise are an excellent addition to our teaching and faculty", states Dean Petri Sahlström. "His contribution to the teaching and strategic development of Oulu Business School are very much in line with our objective to strengthen the business relevance of education and to increase university-business cooperation in all of the activities of the business school", continues Sahlström.

”I am very enthusiastic about this opportunity to enhance cooperation between Oulu Business School and business life for the benefit of the society. There is a strong will in Oulu Business School to produce even more scientific results with practical relevance and links to business life. Pertti Huuskonen, DI, MKT, eMBA, was the President and CEO of parent company Technopolis Plc in 1985–2008 and has been the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Technopolis Plc since 2008. Huuskonen has also chaired the Board of Directors in LapTi-Invest Ltd and Lunacon Ltd. Previously he has also been a member of the Board of Directors of e.g. Oy Yleisradio Ab (Finland's national public service broadcasting company), Finland's Central Chamber of Commerce and the International Association of Science Parks. He started his first company VaKoTe Ltd at the age of 23 as a forth year engineering student in the University of Oulu.
