Management
Management is one of the key subject areas in the business schools worldwide. We offer teaching and research knowledge on the various issues of organizational management and behavior. The topics include the study of organizational culture, learning and knowledge creation, diversity, quality and human resource development, but also the more traditional questions around leadership, managing and organizing. The subject area also covers the questions related to entrepreneurship. We are keen to take a broad, comprehensive look at organizations, drawing from a variety of disciplines such as sociology, anthropology, philosophy and cultural studies. Most of our research leans on the latest developments in qualitative social science methodology. One of the emerging areas of interest is corporate social responsibility and business ethics. In addition to that, our researchers and students engage with the managerial, organizational and societal implications of globalization.
As a major business studies subject, our aim is to educate future experts and managers with a deep academic understanding and actionable practitioner skills in organizational and business development, and human resource management. As a minor subject, we offer prospective business management professionals with basic knowledge on management theories and an overview of the contemporary practices and perspectives in organizational and strategic management.
